ESUUC does “Split the Plate” on the first Sunday of the month.  “Split the Plate” sets aside 50% of all “non-designated” offering donations to give to non-profit organizations.  In the past, these have included the UUSC (UU Service Committee), Syrian refugee medical programs, local food banks and various other local and national charities.

ESUUC has also been involved with the following:

  • Franklin Regional High School reached out into the community to ask for support of their annual Hope for the Holidays Telethon.  This year’s telethon benefits the Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital Free Care Fund.  ESUUC is proud to support these efforts by donating $50 during December 2017.
  • In January and February 2018, ESUUC is excited to donate items to families in the US Virgin Islands who are struggling due to impacts from Hurricane Irma and Maria.
  • Franklin Regional High School will perform “42nd Street” in March 2018.  ESUUC is pleased to play some small role in the production by placing a $40 ad in the Musical Program Book.

For the 2017-2018 school year, the Children’s Religious Education program has also been collecting items.  See here for more information.
