Pittsburgh has a storied place in the history of the American labor movement. In honor of Labor Day, join union member Brenda S. (UFCW Local 1776 Keystone State) for another famous chapter, the 1909 McKees Rocks strike. Activist Eugene Debs described it as “the greatest labor fight in all my history in the labor movement,” and it changed the course of unionism not only in Pittsburgh, but across the country.
