One of the hallmarks of the Unitarian Universalist tradition is its inclusivity of the teachings from all spiritual zip codes. And yet due to the pains of religious hurts and trauma, it may be difficult to benefit from such a wide array of offerings. Using a reference from a tradition laden with a storied & complicated history in this country, we will explore how such an inclusive orientation can become a pathway to “widening the circle” in a manner pursuant to healing.
